In 2018, Ol Pejeta Conservancy was selected to spearhead the development of a neighbouring property, ADC Mutara, which is owned by the Kenyan Government. This project was developed with a grant from the Darwin Initiative, which provided the necessary funds for initial investments into fencing, infrastructure (roads, water, staff housing) and hiring. Now, wildlife numbers are already growing and there is a great emphasis on community inclusivity with regards to livestock and wildlife monitoring. Follow to read more.
