Dedicated to helping their neighbours develop sustainable farming methods and business practices, in 2019 Mugie created, the Mugie SACCO (a local cooperative) bringing together people from different nearby tribal communities. It provides community members, that cannot afford a head of cattle, the opportunity to buy a share in one, thus providing economic opportunity for people of the highest need. The cooperative has 74 registered members from the Pokot, Turkana and Samburu communities as well as Mugie employees and continues to expand each year.
