The catastrophic effects of deforestation are becoming increasingly obvious worldwide. Not only is top soil being eroded at alarming rates, but land and pasture are becoming dramatically degraded while groundwater reserves are reducing. This in turn impacts many communities who depend on the land’s health for their survival.
