Responsible agriculture is key for the long-term health of the soil and thus its productivity. As such, the ZEITZ foundation is establishing a Vocational Training Academy for Forestry and Permaculture on Segera, where people will learn the many valuable techniques that permaculture has to offer. These practices will enhance farmers’ yields without compromising on soil nutrition, boost species diversity and ensure better food and income security for each household. The Academy will offer regular workshops for men and women from Segera’s surrounding communities, teaching both theoretical and practical classes.
